ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

Whether you’re here to have fun and get fit, eager to set goals and feel supported on your journey, or simply curious and just keen to give it a go - that’s the magic of Physie. It’s a place for everyone, no matter your starting point. Our club welcomes all ages and abilities, making it a lifelong activity to enjoy.
Rest assured that if you’re stepping into the world of Physie for the first time or taking your passion to new heights, we’ll meet you where you are and guide you every step of the way.

AFFORDABLE

Physie (also known as Physical Culture) is a unique Australian sport dedicated to keeping dance and fitness accessible and affordable for girls and women of all ages. With a passion for serving the community it’s our aim to keep costs as low as possible. That means no costly, one-time-use costumes or expensive recital and concert fees. Physie is an affordable way to a healthy mind in a healthy body (Mens Sana In Corpore Sano -  BJP's Motto since 1892).

A LOVING COMMUNITY

At Empire Bay Physie, we’re all about the hive! Building a buzzing community where fun comes first and fitness naturally follows. Our loving community is built on respect, kindness, and support, ensuring everyone, whether new to Physie or a seasoned pro, feels welcomed and valued.  It’s a place to learn, grow, and form lifelong friendships - where the whole family mother, daughter, grandmother & granddaughter can thrive together, experiencing the joy of movement and connection.

With over 200 locations, BJP Physie is Australia’s longest running and premier Physie organisation. Founded over 130 years ago by Bjelke-Petersen School of Physical Culture, BJP has proudly inspired generations of Australians to exercise both body and mind through this remarkable sport.
